What We Do
● Reliable emergency communication — a two-way radio network and WhatsApp groups
● A 24/7 standby team of volunteers who coordinate response and arrange emergency services
● Maintenance capability — chainsaws and other equipment to clear fallen trees and electrical lines during storms
● Emergency response using our own response vehicle for fires, road accidents, floods and other emergencies
● Encouraging neighbours to know each other, not necessarily be friends — but be able to rely on each other
● A number-plate recognition camera system to identify suspect vehicles and fight crime on a national level through the E2 initiative.
● Maintaining good relationships with SAPS, Fire, Traffic and security companies
● Providing reliable first-line response to most emergencies through the help of dedicated volunteers
