Bainsvlei Inwonersforum (BIF) is a registered Non-Profit Company (NPC), registration number 2019/230197/08, and holds Public Benefit Organisation (PBO) status with SARS, registration number 930079525, allowing us to issue tax certificates for donations.
History
BIF grew out of a strong and highly active CPF structure that had been recognised as one of the top three CPFs in the country for three consecutive years. Over time, however, it became clear that many of the community’s most urgent needs fell outside the formal CPF mandate — including veld fires, road accidents, infrastructure problems and service delivery challenges. BIF was established in 2019 to provide a broader, community-based structure that could coordinate practical support across these wider issues.
Constitution
BIF serves the Bainsvlei smallholding community northwest of Bloemfontein. Our Constitution explicitly aligns BIF with the Police Act — we are not a vigilante or self-appointed enforcement body. BIF operates on non-racial and non-political principles.
